A Case of Complex Odontoma in Mandible

Abstract
Odontomas are the most highly differentiated benign tumors which are composed of hard dental tissues; enamel, dentin, cementum and pulp tissues, they may be compound or complex.
Compound composite odontoma is used to designate those odontomas with structures bearing some degree of resemblance anatomically to normal teeth, while complex composite odontomas are those in which the dental hard tissues are in an irregular mass with no morphologic similarity to teeth.
The large complex composite odontoma is unusual and asymptomatic but this tumor demonstrate the potential to become cystic, grow to considerable size and cause considerable bone destruction, hence total removal is recommended.
This case is a large complex composite odontoma of left mandibular angle area which may correlated with impacted second molar.
Total removal is performed and any other complications are not noticed.
